For close to 40 years, Duncan Stockcrates has serviced customers Australia wide, listening to their concerns and acting on their advice. Our 4x2 convertible product is highly regarded, with 80% of our new builds going directly to return customers. We are family owned and operated, a family that has lived and breathed stockcrate manufacture their entire working lives.


Our 4x2 convertible livestock units are available in combinations as required, and are built locally in our Forbes NSW workshop. They are available in single, double, triple or quad units with full customization available throughout.

  • BPW Transpec axles and 10 stud grease hubs
  • BPW Transpec heavy duty airbag suspension
  • Wabco TEBS braking system, with wheel speed sensors fitted to front and rear axles
  • Wabco TASC valve, incorporating automatic return to ride height at 6 kmph
  • Jost bolt in kingpins, turntables & dual speed landing gear
  • Beamless or exposed beam style skid plates, on 10mm Grade 350 plate
  • Aluminium 10/285 PCD wheels fitted with Haulmax 11R 22.5 tyres
  • Manufactured chassis for A/ Trailers, 150x100x6.0 RHS sub rails for B/ Trailers
  • Full customization of underbody features, including:
  1. Tool boxes, dog boxes, belly tanks, hose reels, effluent tanks
  2. Ramp sides, stiff arms, fire extinguishers
  3. Mudguards, mudflaps and rubber belts-Steps for access to side of crate or internal doors
  4. Yard release valves, Right Weigh systems, Wabco Smart Boards
  5. Ringfeder or road train compliance

  • LED lighting system throughout to suit individual customer requirements, including interior 
  • Load through flaps and doors (split or barn style) as required in front and rear of trailer
  • Ladders as required for load throughs
  • Drop down slam shut gates throughout with exterior opening handles to suit individual 
  • Removable centre posts as required to suit long penning of cattle
  • Formply hardwood sheep decks on aluminium cranks for non bruise when converted to cattle
  • Aluminium sheep deck carriers
  • 3.0mm lyten bottom stock floor and fixed cattle deck left hand side
  • Lift up cattle decks right hand side in option of lyten steel or aluminium
  • Pen dividers and drop ramps to suit loading operations
  • Cattle ramp at rear with hydraulically operated winch
  • Slide and drop rear door with spring fitted for ease of lifting
  • Sliding rear blocking gates
  • Full customization of internal features, including:
  1. 3/4 cattle gates and roll over pockets to suit long penning of cattle
  2. Thermolite composite panel sheep decks
  3. Full aluminium construction lift up cattle decks and sheep drop ramps
  4. Warn electric winches for lifting of drop ramps
  5. Additional pen dividers and drop ramps to suit loading operations
  6. Side load setups
  7. Additional side wings on cattle ramp
  • Professionally laser wheel aligned
  • Entry on RAV infrastructure portal, & supply of either required paperwork for NSW registration or an unregistered vehicle permit to an interstate registry

All Duncan products are built utilizing Australian 1st class steel and aluminium, and all sheeted panels are manufactured with HW350 grade hot rolled sheet.


Our products are fully sandblasted on site and painted utilizing a 2K painting process.


All products receive 1 coat of 2K epoxy primer and 2 coats of 2K polyurethane topcoat, ensuring outstanding gloss retention, corrosion resistance and long term durability.
